Central & Upstate NY... Starting January ,09

I will be starting to Food Hop around central and upstate New York starting in January 2010! I want your input on where I should start! Please give me your feeback right on my blog by clicking on comments! And stay tuned for my Food Hop selections for my NYC trip in December!

  1. I love restaurants in Cazenovia. The Linklaen house, and The Brewster Inn are both fabulous! They also have less expensive options, like the Linklaen House has a pub downstairs, and The Brewster lets you bring your own wine on Tues/thurs and one day it is smaller portions at a cheaper price (don't know the details anymore).

  2. If you come to Syracuse, Dinosaur BBQ is a must, as well as BC, which is in Armory Square (my favorite restaurant in Syracuse). In Skaneatles, Rosalie's is divine, as well as Doug's Fish Fry, don't let the name fool you, it's a landmark!

  3. Molly I actually live in Syracuse! And thanks for your suggestions! I have been to all of the places mentioned but have not been there specifically to food hop! So I will do that! Thanks and keep following me!

  5. Hey Robin - your blog is awesome :) I would recommend the Brae Loch Inn to your Cazenovia list. Atmosphere is cozy, and the food is great. They used to have a chicken dish with lobster meat on top that was to die for. They didn't have it the last time I was there - I was so bummed! John and I got married there so I'm a little biased. Anyway, you should also check out Kabuki in Skaneateles. We haven't been there since before they renovated to a full kitchen, but our experiences have always been fantastic. My husband says he leaves in a "food coma." Hope you're doing well, enjoy food hopping!!!

  6. If you ever make it down to the Binghamton area, I suggest Moxie, the Lost Dog Cafe, or Whole in the Wall.
